Collective Liberty was selected as a 2020 semifinalist, one of the top 6% of global organizations who applied for the Elevate Prize with MIT Solve. Nearly 1,300 organizations from almost 120 countries applied to this prize, focused on elevating local heroes working on scaling their social justice projects around the world. The Elevate Prize Foundation aims to change the way we change the world in the areas of health services, education, the environment and climate, and to create growing awareness among people, especially as we face this COVID-19 pandemic.
Collective Liberty is excited to be a part of CivStart’s 2020 cohort bringing together our anti-human trafficking data and tech-driven solutions to cities all across the United States. CivStart is a non-profit accelerator bringing govtech innovations to state and local government that bridges the gap between early stage companies and local governments to provide the best and most innovative startup solutions with the support needed to serve local governments and their communities. This focus on equipping government with emerging technology solutions and best practices is the perfect fit for scaling Collective Liberty’s tech and data-driven anti-trafficking solutions to local governments across the nation.
Accelicity Smart City Startup Accelerator Finalist
Collective Liberty has been part of the summer 2020 AcceliCITY global Smart City startup competition as semifinalists. AcceliCITY seeks entrepreneurs whose ventures utilize smart city solutions to address risk, equity and sustainability in our urban environments. Collective Liberty is proud to be a finalist in the QBE AcceliCITY Resiliency Challenge. With interest from almost 400 #GovTech applicants in over 37 countries, it is an honor to participate in this competition.

FINALIST AT ELITE SXSWPITCH 2020 COMPETITION!
Collective Liberty joins the elite top 5% of global startups, competing as a finalist at SXSW Pitch 2020, a global competition as part of the South by Southwest Annual Conference and Festival. Over 900 startups from across the world applied to be part of SXSW pitch this year. Fifty finalists (the top 5% of applicants) were selected to compete across 10 categories – Collective Liberty is in the “Social and Culture” category. MassChallenge Diamond Award
Collective Liberty won the MassChallenge 2019 accelerator and pitch competition. (AUSTIN, Texas – Oct. 18, 2019) – MassChallenge, a global network of zero-equity startup accelerators, last night awarded $500,000 in equity-free cash prizes to five startups: Collective Liberty, Mens Gold Boxx, Olifant Medical, teleCalm, and Traxyl. The announcement – made during the MassChallenge Texas in Austin Awards Ceremony at the Hilton Austin – caps the second Austin-based program and third MassChallenge Texas accelerator since MassChallenge’s Texas launch in 2017.
Cyber Crime Investigations Contributor of the Year
Our CEO Rochelle Keyhan was honored with the International Association of Financial Crimes‘ annual “Cyber Crime Investigations Contributor of the Year” award at this year’s conference.
On August 27, 2019 she was honored with this award in the plenary session that opened the main conference sections, highlighting her strategic and data-driven contribution to law enforcement and financial crime investigators’ approach toward combating human trafficking. This work has involved the curation of human-trafficking specific data and actionable intelligence support for law enforcement partners. Alongside this data contribution, she has provided consulting support that assisted with the apprehension of over 1,000 traffickers.
NGEN Leadership Award Finalist (Independent Sector)
Following a nomination process that began in May, and a rigorous review of more than 100 nominations from emerging changemakers by Independent Sector staff and our Selection Advisory Group, CEO Rochelle Keyhan was selected as one of six finalists for the 2019 NGen Leadership Award! MassChallenge Startup Accelerator Finalist
Collective Liberty was selected as a finalist to participate in the MassChallenge Texas in Austin 2019 accelerator program. Collective Liberty was one of over 650 other startups to apply for the accelerator located in Austin, Texas. MassChallenge Austin accelerator Cohort members will receive access to MassChallenge’s global network, world-class mentoring from industry experts, tailored programming, free co-working space, and unrivalled access to corporate partners.
Progressive Women’s Voices Fellow
Collective Liberty CEO Rochelle Keyhan was selected as a 2019 Women’s Media Center Progressive Women’s Voices fellow. Progressive Women’s Voices is the premier media and leadership training program in the country for women. Representing a range of expertise and diversity across race, class, geography, sexual orientation, ability, and generation, participants receive advanced, comprehensive training and tools to position themselves as media spokeswomen in their fields, thereby changing the conversation on issues that fill headlines. Graduates join a network of alumnae who support each other in their media goals.
Stop Slavery Hero Award – Thomson Reuters Foundation
CEO Rochelle Keyhan is honored as the Thomson Reuters 2018 Global Stop Slavery Hero for her groundbreaking work connecting and convening anti-trafficking stakeholders to shift systems and push them to adopt best practices at scale. Six field partners in different law enforcement jurisdictions including major cities in CA and NY, as well as multiple non-profit partners, sent in heartfelt letters nominating Rochelle for the award.
